Turning Raw E-commerce Data Into a Real Product
How Quave helped Neotrust turn a large e-commerce data operation into an interactive product with client-specific views and natural-language queries.

From reports to a product
Neotrust is one of Brazil’s major sources of e-commerce market data, processing more than two million transactions each day. Brands and retailers use that information to follow prices, market share and trends across online stores. As the operation grew, insights were still commonly delivered through reports or CSV exports. Those formats supported planned analysis, but a new question could require a new export and another operational handoff.
Clients increasingly wanted to explore the data themselves and reach answers while a decision was still current. The product challenge was not simply to place charts in front of a large dataset. Different companies grouped products, brands and categories in their own ways, and the useful view of the same raw data changed from one client to another.
A shared core with client-specific views
Quave rebuilt the experience as a web platform covering users, companies, access rules and client-specific views. Multiple products could use the same data core while each client defined its own groupings, matching rules, tags and custom fields. These “prisms” became product behavior rather than a collection of support-side adjustments.
The work started with a smaller version, limited data and straightforward flows. Early client use exposed weak assumptions before more of the system was built. Product design and development moved together, and the team used AI during exploration to test ideas and flows. The published technology stack includes Node.js, Meteor, React and MongoDB.
That shared core supports products for different kinds of analysis, from enterprise market views to self-directed trend exploration and seasonal moments such as Black Friday. A change to a client’s prism can flow through the reports and views that use it.
AI inside the existing rules
The platform also introduced AI-assisted ways to work with the data. It can surface daily changes relevant to a client’s own prism, and a bespoke Text-to-SQL agent turns plain-language questions into data queries. The agent follows the same product access and privacy rules as the rest of the platform; it is not presented as a route around them.
Neotrust moved from delivering a reporting service toward operating a software product. Clients gained more direct exploration, while new experiences could be built on the same foundation. This case concerns that product and experience layer; the separate infrastructure work is outside its scope.
“Quave helped us turn Neotrust from a reporting service into a real product. They took a massive, complex data operation and built a platform where our clients can explore insights on their own, in real time.”
